Mechatronics is an endless source of innovations and a constant target for product development. This multidisciplinary field, which combines mechanics, electronics, and software engineering, has opened the door to unprecedented product innovations. To stay at the forefront of development and leverage the opportunities offered by mechatronics, new initiatives require continuous investment in both research and development. The Lahti Mechatronics Network is at the forefront of this endeavor, offering a platform where companies can collaborate, develop new solutions, and apply the latest technologies to create sustainable and innovative products for the future.
Developing Cluster, Dynamic Partnership Network
Recently, the range of services offered by the mechatronics cluster has rapidly expanded and diversified. Companies in the field are developing new innovations and continuously monitoring industry trends. Particularly in the area of mechatronics, which combines mechanics, electronics, and software engineering, significant growth has been observed both in Finland and internationally. The Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology (LUT) and the LAB University of Applied Sciences support the product development and research activities of companies within the mechatronics cluster. In addition, in collaboration with the Salpaus Education Centre, they train the experts needed by companies in the field.
